Interdisciplinary Centres
The provisional constitution of Humboldt-Universität
(§25) provides for the establishment of Interdisciplinary
Centres, which can be set up in addition to faculties, central
institutes and central facilities of the university. They are to
conduct interdisciplinary project work in teaching, research, the
promotion of young academics and in the field of continuing education
for academic staff.

- Georg Simmel Centre for Metropolitan Studies (GSZ)
- Centre for Meaning in Language
- Centre for Ubiquitous Information: Fundamentals and Effects of the Sustainable Implementation of Computing Science in Business and Everyday Life
- Interdisciplinary Center for Genetic Variability and Adaptability
- Wolfgang-Köhler-Center for Exploration of Conflicts in Intelligent Systems
- Interdisziplinary Center for Research in Education
- CASE - Centre for Applied Statistics and Economics
- Center of Computational Sciences Adlershof
- Humboldt Center for Modern Optics
