21.-22. November: Transfer Lab

A two-day innovation workshop in English for HU scientists and students by Humboldts Wagniswerkstätten.

Transfer Labs are action learning workshops in ideation and innovation methods from Humboldts Wagniswerkstätten for HU scientists and students. During one and a half days you will practice various methods to generate creative ideas, evaluate and test them.

Join forces with entrepreneurs: In our November edition you will collaborate with the local company Robert Riele GmbH on one of their strategic innovation challenges. Riele produces and markets photometers for inhouse blood analyses and other applications for over 70 years. How might future market opportunities look like? No expertise in the field is required!

In summary you will learn and practice three skills in the workshop:

  • The Art of Ideating: Go beyond brainstorming – learn techniques for coming up with innovative ideas
  • Rapid Prototyping: Make your ideas tangible, so you can gather feedback from others
  • Iterating Your Way Forward: Evolve and improve your idea to move from plan to action

Why innovation skills?

We live in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world. Problem solving, creative and innovative thinking across disciplines and team work are becoming essential parts in every working area as well as in academic contexts.

In the Transfer Lab you practice these skills and take home methods and strategies for your next innovation challenge.
