Vaccination

In cooperation with the Occupational Medicine Centre of the Charité, members will be offered an opportunity to be vaccinated from 8 June - in addition to the vaccination centres and doctors in private practice.

Who is eligible for the vaccination?

Members of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin are eligible for vaccination. Proof of entitlement to vaccination must be provided on site by means of an employer's certificate or the current certificate of enrolment in conjunction with a photo ID.

Vaccination appointment

To book an appointment, you must register with

  • HU account,
  • your HU e-mail address
  • and a mobile phone number are required.

In order for the vaccine to develop its protective effect, two vaccinations are necessary at a time interval of approx. six weeks. The booking system will therefore assign you to a fixed calendar week after approx. six weeks for the follow-up vaccination. The appointment can only be confirmed when the vaccine is available. You will receive a separate e-mail for this purpose.

A fixed vaccine quota is available per day, which will be vaccinated by appointment. However, it is possible to register on a waiting list. The prerequisite for this is that you can appear at the vaccination centre within 60 minutes of being notified of a free appointment. Registration for the waiting list does not replace an appointment booking and does not establish any entitlement.

Further notes for your appointment

  • If you are unable to keep your vaccination appointment at short notice, please cancel the appointment booking in good time via the link in the booking confirmation ("Release of course place").
  • Please keep your appointment times to spend as little time as possible in the waiting room.
  • Please note that this vaccination appointment cannot be passed on to others, not even to colleagues in the same department.
  • If you experience COVID-19 symptoms before your scheduled appointment, contact your doctor by phone.
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women should contact their attending physicians regarding vaccination; they will not be vaccinated at the vaccination centre.
  • No follow-up vaccinations will be given to employees who have already received an initial vaccination from other sources (vaccination centres, general practitioners).
  • Members of HU who have already been infected with COVID-19 will receive a vaccination at the earliest 6 months after becoming ill.
  • In the vaccination centre, FFP2 masks are mandatory and, of course, all the usual distance and hygiene rules apply.

We ask you to participate in the Paul Ehrlich Institute's survey on vaccination side effects.
