Studying in Corona Times

HU students can now take part in an online survey on their situation and opinion of the digital summer semester 2020 at the Humboldt-Universität

Everyday study life at the Humboldt University of Berlin (HU) is currently influenced by the corona pandemic. Humboldt-Universität would like to get a more precise picture of the challenges and risks, but also the opportunities that lie in this special study situation. Therefore, all students are cordially invited to take part in the special survey "Studying in Corona Times".

What challenges are students facing this semester?

Through the participation of the students, an improved knowledge of the study situation in the summer semester 2020 should be gained. The aim is to gain a comprehensive impression of the situation of HU students during this unusual semester. Of particular interest are the challenges currently facing students in their (digital) studies, their current employment and financial situation and the extent to which students can successfully continue their studies under the given circumstances.

HU students receive the link to the survey at their HU e-mail address. The participation is of course voluntary.

Anonymity of the participants in the study is guaranteed

The study is conducted by the DZHW (German Centre for Higher Education and Science Research). The Humboldt-Universität receives summary evaluations of its students. It is technically and data-protection-legally impossible to link the address data of Humboldt-Universität and the survey data of the students with each other. In addition, the nature of the DZHW's evaluations rules out the possibility of personal references. The anonymity of the participants is therefore completely guaranteed.

The survey is conducted by the German Centre for Higher Education and Science Research (DZHW).
