Information on the Application for the One-off Payment Due to the Rise in Energy Costs

On this page students and former students of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin will find the information necessary to apply for the one-off payment due to the rise in energy costs.

The Students’ Energy Price Allowance Act (Studierenden-Energiepreispauschalengesetz - EPPSG) entered into force on 21 December 2022 (http://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/eppsg). Under this Act, students at higher education institutions are entitled to a one-off payment of 200 euros due to the rise in energy costs. To qualify for the payment, you must have been enrolled at a higher education institution on 1 December 2022, and your domicile or habitual residence must have been in Germany on that date.

Please note that applications can only be submitted until 30 September 2023.

Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is only responsible to provide the access data to those students who are entitled to apply for the one-off payment.

Full details about the one-off payment, the process of application and approval can be found at https://einmalzahlung200.de.

With the access code you can apply for the one-off payment at https://antrag.einmalzahlung200.de.

The access code, resp. the PIN, necessary for the application process you will find after login into the AGNES-Portal in the menu item „Energy one-off payment“. If you have not activated your personal student account yet, we strongly recommend to do so.

Former students who do not have access to the AGNES-Portal anymore will receive a letter with the access code within the next few days by snail mail, with a time interval another letter with the PIN. Depending on the postal services the letters may arrive delayed. The letters will be sent to the last address known to us. If your address hast changed meanwhile contact us please.

If we did not provide you with access data you are not entitled to apply for the one-off payment. Who is entitled to apply results from § 1 EPPSG and the specifications of the federal government that complete these requirements.
