Guided tour through the main building
Vivacious student’s life in a historical surrounding Besides Campus Nord and Campus Adlershof, Campus Mitte is the oldest of the three campuses of Humboldt-Universität. Almost all faculties and institutes of the Arts and Humanities, Business Studies and Social Sciences are located between Französischem Dom, Lustgarten, Bebelplatz, Brandenburger Tor and other places of interest along the avenue Unter den Linden in the historical center of Berlin.
The guided tour through the main building of Humboldt Universität zu Berlin basically provides a fascinating insight into 200 years of history of HU and at the same time includes contemporary issues. The guided tour, where some of the important monuments are commented on, is a walk through the historic main building. The main building (Unter den Linden 6) is the heart of Campus Mitte. Berlin’s particular location determines its history: once the center of Prussia and Germany, finally the capital of GDR and today the center of reunited Germany.
This tour approximately takes 60 minutes. It is bookable for weekdays between 10 a.m. and 15 p.m. . However, it is possible to make individual appointments, too.
