Transfer Lab November 2019 (EN)

A two-day workshop in innovation methods by Humboldts Wagniswerkstätten

Transfer Labs are action-learning workshops in ideation and innovation methods for HU scientists and students. During one and a half days you will practice various methods to generate creative ideas, evaluate and test them. We make learning tangible: by pairing up with a partner company, we define, develop and evaluate a real-world innovation challenge to put the strategies for innovative thinking into practice.

Focus of this month's Transfer Lab:
Build-Measure-Learn Loop of the Lean Startup Methodology

1) Build: learn techniques to
come up with innovative ideas and build prototypes to make them tangible

2) Measure: Get early feedback on your solutions by setting up experiments and measure the outcomes

3) Learn: integrate your learnings and, in iterations, build ideas that work

Why are innovation skills valuable?

We live in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world. Problem solving, creative and innovative thinking across disciplines and team work are becoming essential parts in every working area as well as in academic contexts. In the Transfer Lab you practice these skills and take home methods and strategies for your next innovation challenge.
