Dealing with conflicts constructively is a key part of this process. Open discussions are the first step. The Conflict Counselling Service supports you in resolving a wide variety of conflicts. Ideally, this can lead to a significant improvement in working relationships.
The Conflict Counselling Service is available to all members of the university and is free of charge. Please feel free to contact us.
The appointed conflict counsellors at HU are Ute Arnold, Barbara Fabel and Regina von Schmeling. They act confidentially, impartially and independently, and will refer you to an external conflict counselling service if necessary. Should a conflict prove unresolvable, you will be advised of further options for action, such as lodging a complaint.
The conflict counsellors’ work is based on the service agreement and the President’s guidelines for respectful interaction at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Their duties are derived from Section 7 of the guidelines.
