Consultation in Cases of Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, Violence and Stalking

We offer counselling and are your first contact point for complaints concerning sexual harassment, discrimination, violence and stalking. We can offer you an initial consultation – which can be anonymous if you prefer – and advise you on possible next steps.

Have you experienced sexual harassment or discrimination? Have you witnessed sexual harassment? Has sexual harassment been reported to you within your team and are you unsure how to proceed?

As Women’s Representatives and Equal Opportunities Officers, we act in the interests of those affected in cases of sexual harassment, discrimination and violence. We are bound by a legal duty of confidentiality and will not take any action without your consent.

In addition to the Central Women’s Representatives and Equality Officer and her deputies, there are local Women’s Representatives and Equality Officers at every faculty and institute whom you are welcome to contact.

This is how we consult you

  1. We treat all enquiries as strictly confidential. We will only act as an intermediary or take further steps with your express consent. Consultations can also be conducted anonymously or with a support person present, and may take place in German or English.
  2. If you require any assistance – for example, an interpretation into German Sign Language – please let us know when arranging your appointment.
  3. We offer consultations in person, by telephone, via video call or by email.
