Conversations with Judges – Can courts protect democracy? Vortrag von Verena Madner

These are challenging times, on many fronts. Specifically, courts and the judiciary are under pressure. When democracies tumble, or die, what is the role of courts? What are promising judicial strategies, resilient doctrines, and helpful remedies? We invite you to join a conversation with eminent judges from around the world to address these questions.

Verena Madner ist Vize-Präsidentin des Österreichischen Verfassungsgerichtshofs, sowie Professorin für Öffentliches Recht, Umweltrecht, sowie Public und Urban Governance am Department an der Wirtschaftsuniversität in Wien. Dort fungiert sie zudem als Leiterin des Instituts für Recht und Governance und als Co-Leiterin des Forschungsinstituts für Urban Management and Governance.

Die Veranstaltung wird, anders als die bisherigen Veranstaltungen der Reihe, auf Deutsch stattfinden.
