Recognising anti-Muslim racism – gaining confidence in taking action

An initiative by the Centre for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging in collaboration with CLAIM gGmbH

How can you deal with diversity and discrimination sensitively and confidently in your role as a teacher and/or leader? This workshop covers the basics of anti-Muslim racism and discrimination, highlights their relevance to teaching and leadership roles, and provides a safe space for discussion, reflection and a practical examination of real-life examples. The aim of the event is to strengthen participants’ awareness of and ability to address anti-Muslim racism: through targeted reflection, different perspectives and structural interrelationships are examined, and options for action are explored. At the same time, practical approaches are developed for dealing with such issues in a professional and discrimination-sensitive manner in day-to-day work, with a view to building greater confidence in taking action.
