Recognising anti-Muslim racism – gaining confidence in taking action

An initiative by the Centre for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging in cooperation with CLAIM gGmbH

How can you deal with diversity and discrimination sensitively and confidently in your role as a teacher and/or leader? This workshop covers the basics of anti-Muslim racism and discrimination, highlights their relevance to teaching and leadership roles, and provides a safe space for discussion, reflection and a practical examination of real-life examples. The aim of the event is to strengthen participants’ awareness and ability to act in relation to anti-Muslim racism: through targeted reflection, perspectives and structural interconnections are examined and scope for action explored. At the same time, practical approaches for dealing with these issues professionally and with sensitivity to discrimination in everyday working life are developed, to help participants feel more confident in their actions.
