Project description
The research project focuses on the activation of C–H and C–F bonds of fluorinated alkenes and ethers using rhodium complexes. Catalytic processes will be developed based on mechanistic studies. Of particular importance is the synthesis of compounds with lower fluorine content that do not fall under the PFAS classification. The planned work includes the development of C–C, C–O, C–Si, and C–Ge coupling reactions starting from fluorinated olefins, as well as the silylation and germylation of fluorinated ethers via C–F bond activation.
