Project description

The project intends to compare mechanisms of social exclusion in Germany and India. It will try to prove that social distinctions are based on symbolic violence and are a necessary means to maintain and legitimize social inequality. By means of an empirical study, it will enquire into the perception and representation of scheduled castes in India and unemployed in Germany.
