The historico-theological treatises "De semine scripturarum" and "De principe mundi" of Anonymus Bambergensis: Critical examination of tradition, classification regarding the history of ideas and critical edition

The aim of the project in its final phase is to reconstruct, in the aspects still outstanding, the statement intention and the intellectual horizon of Anonymus Bambergensis before the educational horizon of his time, if possible in all essential facets, and to work out his history of influence, especially the specific cognitive interest of the editors of the individual versions. The insights gained in this way will be incorporated into the edition of Anonymus Bambergensis, which is to be completed at the end of the funding period. This will bring an already DFG-funded project to a successful conclusion in the foreseeable future in the form of an annotated critical edition of the Bamberg Anonymus with introduction and German translation of the edited texts.
