Emotions in classical Greece

The project focuses on emotions in classical Greece. While social and physical aspects of human existence are common dimensions of historical research and narratives, emotions and emotional dispositions of individuals and social groups still are much less taken into account. This is partly due to the theoretical and methodological difficulties of any approach to the emotions of historical individuals and societies. To develop an adequate framework suggestions from the neuroscienes and current linguistics will be included.
