Decision support system (GIS and web based)

1. Objective:
A consulting system will be developed for the existing consulting networks, with the aim to commit new knowledge and potentials of the paludiculture to the actors and policy-makers. In addition area-covering requirement specifications for a sustainable usage with the focus on the current and potential usage will be developed in a close collaboration with other sub-projects. This will be the basis for a consulting tool. This tool will give the actors the possibility to weigh in an economical/technical context between interests of usage and management of used and near-natural peats considering the conflicting priorities of mitigation and climatic adaption, increase in usage and protection of the resources, regional landscape development and economical-social restrictions. The process of decision-making will be transparent and traceable for the future user.
