Project description
LocoBoar aims to detect abnormalities in the gait behavior of breeding boars associated with libido and fertility disorders by means of a matrix of geophones arranged in a walkway.
To this end, the HU-Berlin is carrying out experiments on stall topologies, signals and behavioural patterns and supplementing them with the results of score.
From this, interpretation rules for signal processing and training of an AI will be derived.
After a suitable signal processing platform is available, the training of the AI and the signal processing chain is carried out with direct result validation through observation and score data in a controlled laboratory environment. After the AI has been approved for use in a practical environment, a practical trial will be carried out in a boar rearing station.
The project partners are BITSz electronics GmbH and IFN Schönow GmbH.
