Fossils of Schooling? Dead/dying media and dead/dying practices in the educational pasts

International conference on the media history of education and teaching through its now obsolete objects and practices. The concept of the ‘fossil’ draws attention not only to ‘dead media’ and ‘dead practices’ in education and teaching, but also to ‘dying’ media and practices, those media and practices that are now considered obsolete and are in decline.
