Description
The main goal of this project is the fabrication and detailed investigation of optical microresonators based on photonic crystal structures in the visible (500-700nm). We will develop and test different designs and perform numerical simulations of optical properties of emitters embedded in these resonant structures. Different techniques to infiltrate chromophores into the resonators in a controlled way will be tested. Finally, we will determine the modifications of emission due to quantum electrodynamic effects as well as lasing.
