Project description

The accompanying research and evaluation of the Hochschulisches Gesundheitsmanagement (HGM) (University Health Management) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin supports the evidence-based development of health promotion measures for employees and students, with the aim of strengthening the health and well-being of the university community in a sustainable and systematic manner. Regular needs assessments form a central foundation, capturing health-related burdens, resources, and needs within the university community. The quantitative findings are complemented by qualitative methods, such as participatory workshops including focus groups and idea labs, to better understand underlying causes and to jointly develop solutions with members of the university community. Based on these insights, target group-specific behavioural and structural health promotion measures are developed and implemented. These measures are continuously reviewed and refined through ongoing process and outcome evaluation.
