Project description
The project investigates the effectiveness of an ambulant psychotherapy program for patients with early-stage Alzheimer's disease under everyday conditions. Based on a best available evidence policy, the program combines two therapy elements, neuropsychological memory rehabilitation and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. The goal of the three-months program involving patients and their primary caregivers is to maintain activities of daily living and quality of life, to reduce depression, and to develop an active, flexible coping style for the future.
