"Namdeutsch": The Dynamics of German in Namibian Multilingual Context

The "Namdeutsch" project investigates the German language in present-day Namibia in a German-Namibian cooperation. Besides grammatical and sociolinguistic analyses the project has yielded an important empirical basis for studies on Namibian German, the DNam corpus which offers systematic data on formal and informal conversations in Namibian German, and linguistic attitudes in the German-speaking community in Namibia.
