Project description

<p>The status of special schools for children and youth with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties in Germany is examined.</p>
<p>The study combines quantitative and qualitative research methods.
In a complete national survey the structural elements and the organisational compositions of the schools were examined. The findings reveal some serious structural problems of SEBD schools.</p>
<p>In a second step, a representative sample of SEBD schools will be examined, regarding their pedagogical and therapeutic conceptualisations and the effects on pupils' outcomes.</p>
