The publication of a "Fachdidaktik Portugiesisch" is the first handbook / textbook for the didactics of Portuguese as a foreign language at German schools and grammar schools. This book is intended to lay the foundation for regular Portuguese teacher training as part of university degree courses. It can also be used for self-study, for example by teachers who have acquired language skills while teaching abroad and wish to teach Portuguese on their return to Germany.
