Description
In the subproject B4|Braun/Riedel small molecules such as HSiEt3, HGeEt3 or H2, and FSiEt3, FGeEt3, HF or F2 will be activated at the nanoscopic aluminum chloro fluoride ACF (AlClxF3-x, x = 0,05-0,30) as well as at molecular aluminum pentafluoroorthotellurates (aluminum teflates). The activated molecules will subsequently be transferred to unsaturated compounds such as olefins and alkynes. In particular, the character of the interactions of the hydrogen or fluorine atoms with the Lewis-acidic centres of ACF and molecular aluminum teflates will be evaluated and correlated with the activity and reactivity of the compounds. The interactions with the molecular aluminum teflates will contribute to an understanding of the interactions with the amorphous ACF.
