Project description
The goal of the project is the investigation of optical properties, in particular coherence properties, of single or coupled quantum dots. Methods to improve the outcoupling of light will be studied and possibly improved. The investigations include different material systems with a spectral range of the emission from the visivle to the near infrared. The experiments are motivated by future applications of quantum dots in quantum information processing or as intensity standards.
