Description
A central goal of this project is the understanding and tailoring of excitonic coupling and charge transfer in hybrid inorganic/organic systems (HIOS) composed of monolayers (ML) of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDC) and conjugated organic molecules. By employing optical spectroscopy and by studying the HIOS in device structures we will explore how ground and excited state interactions can be controlled via external factors like the dielectric environment or field-effect doping. Furthermore, we will develop lateral p-n-homojunctions via surface functionalization of TMDC MLs with molecular dopants.
