Project description

Previously, we showed that CP29A creates cold-triggered droplets, depending on its prion-like domain, crucial for splicing, translation, and cold tolerance. Our current focus is to unravel the makeup of CP29A granules, their func-tion in young and proliferating cells, and their role in RNA processing during cold exposure. We will use proximity labelling and CLIP-Seq to determine CP29A granule components, suppressor screens to explore genetic interac-tions, RNA-Seq and single-cell RNA-Seq on shoot tips to identify cold-induced molecular issues, and investigate RH3, a newly found phase-separating associate of CP29A.
