Project description
The project follows a long-term strategy to analyse the persistence of differences in labour market outcomes and economic development across regions. During the first funding period, the team described collected data and provided analyses on heterogeneity in preferences and economic development across regions and countries, as well as the differences in compatibility of skills between East and West Germans. In addition, new methodological contributions were made. The project’s second funding period will give centre stage especially to the roles of cultural heterogeneity and regional heterogeneity.
