Text data mining at GiNLab

GiNLab is a module within the specialist portal www.germanistik-im-netz.de of the German Studies Specialist Information Service (FID). GiNLab creates an environment for establishing research support services for the specialist community. Based on the bibliographic data available in the FID library, a text mining tool is to be developed as an infrastructure service in GiNLab in close cooperation with the scientific community. Through the diachronic analysis of bibliographic and other German studies specialist information data, insights can be gained into how fields of work, methods, and networks have changed over the past decades, which should, among other things, provide an outlook on research gaps and emerging fields of research.
