Project description
The project is about making archaeological finds available by means of virtual and augmented reality. The aim is to ensure the exchange of knowledge and the provision of objects that are usually stored in closed physical archives after they have been found. In addition, interested parties are to be given the opportunity to view objects stored in the depots of museums and other cultural institutions, even outside of curated exhibitions.
The project is integrated into the REALITAETENLABOR, which is currently being set up (www.realitaetenlabor.de) and aims to establish a cross-university laboratory for augmented and virtual reality applications.
