HU Institutional Strategy: Faces of Job (Funding Line Creating Opportunities)

In this book the different forms of the Book of Job will be examined . While the original Hebrew text stems from the 5th to 3rd century B.C., several translations were made between the 2nd century B.C. and the 4th century A.D. All those translations differ significantly from the original form in a formal and lexical way, at least in parts. This project refers to both the literary and religious history of all those examples, focusing on the depictions of God, Job and some other central figures.
