HU Institutional Strategy: KOSMOS Workshop 2014 – Expanding the Margins: Migration, Mobilities, Borders

Risen from a Summer School titled “Teaching the Crisis – Geographies, Methodologies, Perspectives”, this KOSMOS workshop deepens the knowledge gained there and positions it with a global context. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported that about one billion people were moving in the year 2011. The workshop investigates the resulting challenges of this societal change. The project aims to think beyond Europe to detect global dimensions and interdependences of economic crisis and mobility.
