HU Institutional Strategy: (Ver)Suchen, (Er)Proben: Wissensobjekte und Forschungsmethoden zwischen Wissenschaft und Kunst (Funding Line Creating Opportunities)

In the light of recent developments in education and culture, it has to be discussed whether, when and how it is useful to transfer the terms “knowledge” and “discipline” to the field of art. This workshop asks for the role research methods play as practices, which are carried out in interaction with objects of knowledge, in an interdisciplinary context. To enable this discussion, the workshop brings together teachers and executives of the interdisciplinary study program “Diversity of Knowledge” with researchers from the theatrical research laboratory “Forms of Grief”. It is an intimate format that pays tribute to the dialogical formulation of positions. The event will be a one and a half day workshop and is set to take place in February 2014.
