Students of all nationalities who are enrolled at HU in the summer semester of 2026 and are within the standard period of study in their core subject are eligible to apply. In addition to academic achievements, the eligibility criteria also include social and personal circumstances, such as educational background, as well as social and societal commitment.

Application for a themed class as part of the Deutschlandstipendium

Interested students can receive 300 EURO more per month for their studies

Interested students can apply online until 28 December 2025 (11.59 pm) for Germany Scholarships as part of the "Sustainability and & Global Justice" themed class.

In a themed class, up to 15 students from different disciplines work and research on an interdisciplinary topic. By being involved in research projects, the scholarship holders learn how to work scientifically and conduct independent research. They exchange ideas with researchers, learn from them and gain insights into the world of science and access to high-calibre events at an early stage of their studies.

The scholarship supports committed students with very good grades with 300 euros per month for one year. Scholarship holders in the themed class receive an additional five credit points per semester for successful participation.

The call for applications is aimed specifically at Bachelor's and Master's students from the institutes and faculties involved in IRI THESys, as well as the guest discipline of computer science.
