Exhibition: Traces of colonialism in scientific collections

|
Event notice
Open Humboldt
“Uncomfortable Truths – Art, Colonialism, and Academic Collections” presents works by artists from Oxford and Berlin from 5 to 16 October.

The exhibition takes as its starting point scientific collections from both cities, as well as the issue of colonial violence and its consequences. On display are a variety of artistic formats – ranging from video projections and installations to artist’s books. Visitors are invited to get actively involved: at various stations, they can try their hand at art, give feedback and engage with the exhibited works and their themes.
