Second Winter University at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Registration possible until the end of November 2009

Are you interested in Transatlantic Issues, European Integration or German Language? The 2nd Winter University at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin will take place from January 11 until January 29, 2010 and offers an intensive German language course as well as English subject courses.

You can choose from an intensive German language course with a total of 60 hours for all language levels and two interdisciplinary English subject courses entitled “Europe’s Dream of America/ America’s Dream of Europe” and “European Integration during and after the Cold War” (30 hours each). Classes encompass lectures, seminars, workshops and excursions.

All participants have the option to combine the language course with one subject course, but may also take the language class as well as the subject class separately. While the German course is addressed to foreign students the English subject courses aim at foreign and German students, postgraduates and doctoral candidates.

The courses are all thematically related to Berlin and will offer enough room for interesting lecturers and discussions.

If you are interested in the aforementioned course topics and like to meet international students, if you speak English and like to explore the city – spend next winter in Berlin and join our Winter University! In addition to the academic lessons the International Office organizes a cultural programme. Successful participation will be awarded with a certificate and ECTS credit points. Accommodation can be organised. Registration deadline is the end of November.
