The Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM) at Humboldt-Universität in collaboration with the non-profit Hertie Foundation (GHS), is inviting applications for the Klaus J. Bade Young Researchers’ Prize for Migration Research.
The prize is aimed at researchers in the early stages of their academic careers who have distinguished themselves through outstanding research achievements in the field of migration and integration studies. In keeping with Klaus J. Bade’s understanding of academia, the public impact of the submitted research plays a key role.
The prize, worth 7,500 euros, is named after the historian, pioneer of migration research and professor emeritus Klaus J. Bade. The deadline for applications is 29 May 2026. The prize will be awarded by the jury during the Berlin Lecture in November 2026 at Humboldt-Universität in Berlin.
