Cluster of Excellence

Clusters of Excellence are large, interdisciplinary research alliances that work on innovative topics at the highest level. Across all disciplines, Humboldt-Universität is working with three other Berlin universities as a network on the major transformations of our time. As part of the Excellence Strategy of the federal and state governments, the BUA 2025 has acquired five Clusters of Excellence.

Berlin University Alliance

The Berlin University Alliance, with its international partners, is announcing two funding lines for research collaborations. Funding will be provided for projects with partners in São Paulo, the University of Chicago and Northwestern University.

Prof Dr Patrick Hostert and Dr Dirk Pflugmacher will contribute their expertise to the Landsat Science Team (LST) in future. The appointment by NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey is considered a special scientific honour.
