The members of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA), Freie Universität, Humboldt-Universität, Technische Universität und Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin together with the German Nagoya Protocol HuB are organising a joint online workshop on the Nagoya Protocol, 18.11.2024, 10:00-12:00 am: What are the compliance obligations of researchers, what happens in case of non-compliance? In addition to an expert input from the German Nagoya Protocol HuB with opportunities for everyone to ask questions, the procedures at HU, FU, TU and Charité will be explained in detail in breakout rooms.

Content

This information event will explain step by step what researchers need to know and do in order to fulfil their obligations under the Nagoya Protocol and the EU ABS Regulation. You will learn which user controls have already been initiated in Germany, what the immediate consequences of non-compliance are (e.g. fines, material and publication bans, etc.) and what tools and tips are already available to inform yourself. There will be enough time for questions.
