The BUA Office for Teaching and Learning advises students and lecturers on all questions regarding the organisation of and participation in courses offered as BUA teaching formats at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. - Select one or more courses of the Berlin University Alliance in the interdisciplinary compulsory elective area from the course catalogue of the HU.
- Please check the course page in the course catalogue to find out whether online enrolment is activated or whether you need to contact the lecturer.
Students of the Freie Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin
- Select one or more courses of the Berlin University Alliance in the interdisciplinary elective area from the course catalogue of the HU.
- Participation must be applied for and approved for each individual course. To do so, contact the responsible lecturer via the email address provided. Please ask whether you can participate as a BUA student by stating the number and name of the desired course.
- If you are allowed to participate, enter the course(s) in the registration form for BUA courses and send it together with the participation permit(s) received collectively and via e-mail to the BUA Office for Teaching and Learning: studium.bua-buero@hu-berlin.de.
- The BUA office will contact you and register you as a BUA student at HU.
Please note the information on registration on the respective event pages in the course catalogue of the HU.
Are you enrolled at one of the partner universities Freie Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin or Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and would like to participate in a designated BUA course? Then register as a BUA student at the HU and benefit from the Berlin Network of Excellence:
- Access to research-oriented BUA courses.
- No limit on the number of semester hours you can take.
- Access to the digital services of the HU.
Unfortunately, registration as a BUA student is not possible if you are enrolled in a postgraduate or certificate programme.
Registration as a BUA student takes place when you register for a BUA course (see above). The BUA Office for Studies and Teaching will contact you after receiving the registration form.
Registration as a BUA student is valid for one semester.

- Please inform yourself in advance about the creditability of the desired course at your university.
- Complete the missing information in the form "Certificate for the successful completion of BUA modules". The responsible teacher must confirm the completion of the module by signing the document.
- The teacher can provide you with a module description and course description/curriculum for credit transfer to your university.
