Legalisation
In order to have a German public document apostilled, it must first be legalised. Legalisation confirms the authenticity of the issuer’s signatures and seal. Students who have obtained their certificates and/or documents from Humboldt University of Berlin can have the authenticity of the document confirmed by having it legalised at the Examination Service Office.
Students at Charité should contact the Student Affairs Office at Charité.
The Landesamt für Bürger- und Ordnungsangelegenheiten (LABO) Berlin-Kreuzberg, Friedrichstraße 219, is responsible for apostilling the documents.
