Central and Eastern Europe is a key region, in our view. Humboldt-Universität cultivates historical connections here and takes current political developments into account with various exchange and support programmes.

Glo­bal En­ga­ge­ment

The greatest challenges of our time – such as climate change, pandemics or migration – demand collaborations from science that are truly globally oriented. For that reason, we take all the world regions into consideration in internationalisation.

Fulbright Germany is organizing a fully funded scholarship program for bachelor's students in the humanities and social sciences in the summer of 2026: The Fulbright Summer Study Program “Discover the USA” at the University of Maryland, College Park.

The application phase for the CENTRAL Leadership Programme 2026 has begun. The programme is aimed at Master’s and doctoral students interested in political, social, and historical contexts in Central and Eastern Europe.
