The DAAD Prize recognizes outstanding international students and doctoral candidates who have demonstrated excellent academic achievement as well as exceptional social or intercultural engagement.
Eligible applicants include international HU students in the advanced stages of their Bachelor's degree (from the second year onward) or Master's degree (from the second semester onward), doctoral candidates, as well as recent graduates whose studies were completed no more than three months prior to the date of application. Applicants must have an excellent academic record and a proven commitment to activities within or outside the university.
The application should include a letter of recommendation, a motivation letter, a CV, current academic transcripts, and evidence of the applicant’s engagement. In addition, applicants are expected to submit an outstanding academic paper (e.g., a term or seminar paper).
The application deadline is 31 August. The selection will be made by a committee.
