Would you like to complete your master’s degree, undertake a research stay, or complete the coursework phase of a PhD program at a U.S. university? Then apply for a scholarship through the ERP Program! Through this program, the German National Academic Foundation supports study and research stays at top U.S. universities. The Studienstiftung encourages all interested individuals—especially in times when the exchange of ideas, opinions, and academic practices is increasingly being called into question—to take advantage of this opportunity to build personal transatlantic relationships and networks.
The program’s goal is to strengthen transatlantic understanding and to support and connect highly qualified young professionals who aspire to careers in the public sector. The program is open to graduates in all disciplines. In addition to living and travel expenses, the ERP scholarship program can cover tuition fees of up to 50,000 USD.
Applications are accepted from July 1 through September 20, 2026. Acceptance into the program also entails acceptance into the German National Academic Foundation.
