Human-induced climate change is noticeable to all of us, and it is more important than ever that we take action. Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin also wants to contribute to a sustainable society.

Our goal: climate-neutral by 2030

Humboldt-Universität aims to be climate-neutral by 2030. This ambitious goal was set by the University Senate in October 2021 following input from students and the Sustainable University Commission. We have developed a concept to achieve this goal.

Climate protection concept (in German)

The concept takes a holistic approach: from technical optimisation and structural anchoring to participation, monitoring and awareness-raising - with the aim of making the university sustainable and climate-friendly by 2030.
