Cultural heritage – Engaging with society – The university of tomorrow

The Zentrum für Kulturtechnik’s forward-looking contributions are particularly evident at the intersections of its areas of work – ‘Exhibitions’, ‘Collections’ and the area of expertise ‘Knowledge & Society’. In research, teaching and practice, the focus is always on building bridges between cultural heritage, engagement with society and an understanding of the Humboldt-Universität’s sustainability in the spirit of ‘Open Humboldt’. In this way, the Zentrum für Kulturtechnik is developing into a dynamic strategic focal point for the whole of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Berlin research landscape.

Medal studies and institutional collaboration

The Humboldt-Universität art collection includes, amongst other things, over 120 medals. A seminar with students at the Berlin Münzkabinett (Coin Cabinet) focused on this particular genre during the summer term.
