Bonifatius Folli in "A House Through Time" (BBC Two)

The Lautarchiv is the focus of new research, public contributions, and awards: From Bonifatius Folli’s voice in a BBC documentary to recent theses, colonial collections and their decolonization take center stage.

The voice of the language teacher Bonifatius Folli (1877–1947) from Togo can be heard in David Olusoga’s acclaimed documentary series “A House Through Time” (season 5, episode 1). The shellac records featuring the voice of Bonifatius Folli are now part of the collection of the Berlin Sound Archive.
