<p>The research group investigates the transformation of ancient spaces and ideas of space in German literature and art. The origin, transmission, and transformation of ancient spaces are investigated using the stocks of knowledge preserved for us in literature and the visual arts.</p>
<p>1. Ancient spaces in early modern German novels;</p>
<p>2. Ancient spaces in German travel literature 1750-1850.</p>
